Rules of the game:
- Go to any pizza hut restaurant which serves the lunchtime ‘eat-as-much-as-you-like’ buffet, normally running from 12 until 2:30 but check before you go to avoid disappointment.
- Eat as much as you like
- Discard the edges of the pizza slices whilst eating, and count them when you’re done.
- It’s very difficult to cheat at this game but it’s a game of pride and satisfaction so any cheating should be frowned upon as it is not in keeping with the spirit of things.

Hints & Tips:
If you are aiming to beat the world record or you’re going for a personal best it is advisable to read to following advice:
- Drink as little as possible preferably still water, anything fizzy will play havoc with your attempt. Although I do sometimes find the odd carbonated beverage does relieve some stomach tension with a belch or two.
- Eat a bit of lettuce between slices of pizza, this I’m told helps digestion.
- Try and plan your time wisely at pizza hut, you’re never going to break any records in half an hour, so make sure you’re there when the place opens and you’ve ample reading material to keep yourself busy for an afternoon of pizza guzzling.
- Whilst this tip may be slightly frowned upon by the anorexics try starving yourself for a few days before hand, that way you’ll be really hungry when you get there.
- If starving yourself sounds to close to the bone I find having a heavy meal the night before helps some people, it will stretch the size of your stomach therefore allowing you to eat more.
- Avoid the salad bar (apart from if you choose the lettuce approach as advised earlier)
- Try if possible to go for a half time dump, this reduces weight and makes you feel less bloated.
- Definitely don’t eat the garlic bread as this will fill you up and you will undoubtedly lose and leave the establishment with your tail between your legs.
