A Giant Chipotle

No way, Chipotle is not too bad. Very flavorful, very filling, and I'd give it two thumbs up. Of course it is trying to appeal to a mass market, and it is fast food now so it will lose some authentic touches that it had years ago. But it's good, great cost to taste ratio. Every burrito I've had there is close to 1.5lbs so that's not bad.

I definitely dig you on the mass market comment - it's difficult to make something "extreme", "authentic", and widely-considered to be delicious when you've got a chain that has to remain corporately profitable. And, to give credit where credit's due - Chipotle is obviously able to turn profit by mass-producing burritos.

But still, growing up in the largely-latin communities in the LA and Ventura county areas, I can't help but favor the small places for mexican food. Don't get me wrong - I'm probably going to Del Taco tonight for dinner - but for drag-out, bar-fight delicious - I'm giving it to the little guy.
