Oh dear, seems our friends from PETA want to post stories on the front page of SupersizedMeals.com. Apparently they're not big fans of Bacon Double Cheeseburgers.... anyway, despite their lack of appreciation of the humble hamburger, I'll post their verse anyway Enjoy! (unless you're a cheeseburger, then you're not welcome!)
The Most Violent Food On Earth
I usedto eat burgers and cheeseburgers until I saw the slaughterhouse and the kill floor where they butcher thousands of cows and calves every damn day. I saw a bucket of calves heads , the male calves who are torn from their mothers shortly after birth in order to force their mothers to give milk for a mammal who doesn't even need it, US. The calves heads were dripping blood and their soft, horrified eyes were wide open. Imagine working in a place that hangs up weak, terified, sick and injured baby male calves, just so the dairy industry can take all the milk they are entitled to? See, the mothers have to be pregant to give milk. So a cow, who would live to be 15 or 16, is so spent at 5 or 6 from havng baby after baby, while being milked 7 days a week, and injected with chemicals like rBGH, to produce more then she should, is slaughtered way before her natural life span. Would any of you work in a place that slaughters gentle, soft, helplless cows?
We drink the milk from anther animals udders without even questioning it. I used to love burgers, butr now, I see them for what they are; Ground up "dairy cows" topped with the very cheese made from the milk from her own udders! GROSS. And what's even sicker, is tat the cheese has renet in it, to bind it. Renet is the lining f the calves stomach. Toss in some pigs stomach and the reality behind a bacon cheeseburger is hardly culinary art.
I lost 30 pounds on a vegan diet that is full of incredible food, does not cause animals to suffer (www.petatv.com) egregiously, and is far healtheir for every organ in our bodies. Every nation has a Mad Cow issue, even though the media does not report it. Got dementia, got heart disease, got ED....Keep greasing your blood and arteries.

sorry but peta is f*cking cult. I understand people who are veggie eaters, but peta is against pet ownership.
I am sorry but peta can really suck my *sshole till thier mouth is full of sh*t.
anyone who thinks they are for peta should watch the bullsh*t episode that focuses on them.
I am sorry but have owned many dogs and cats and you would not want to be the person who tries to take one from me.
Sure I understand taking a pet away from someone that is abusing it, but I dont understand wanting to take all pets away from all people.
if you dont think peta is for that watch that show. they have video of the head of peta saying that and the crowd of peta supporters cheering her on. I would be happy to post the video to youtube if you want to see it for yourself.
This isnt just a hit piece on peta, making groundless accucations. it has video and documents of peta that explain thier real agenda, and its one that most "members" of peta would be against.

peta isn't against pet ownership. fact is we domesticated the animals it's our respoinsibilty to care for them now. but ones that haven't been domesticated shouldn't be kept as pets. birds don't belong in a cage it's whole life. i'm a vegan, don't believe with all of peta, but they do make changes happen that better the lives of animals

Screw PETA: www.petakillsanimals.com
Also, google the Penn & Teller episode of Bullshit! where they talk about PETA.
PETA is for "Total Animal Liberation". Look that one up.

How very immature of you. I love burgers. I love huge burgers. I eat big meals sometimes. See, the point is moderation. If you eat McDonalds five times a week, you will probably become fat. If, like me and many people, you use it as a treat, or occasional meal, there is no problem at all, and you can enjoy any food you want.
Your comment is really stupid. This site has nothing to do with "being a fat ass". It is about the love of food, and looking at pictures of extreme foods. This site is one of the best on the internet. I think you should do some growing up before you post here again, or at least find some site to post on where people will care about your opinion.
Meh.

So I got my hands on that Penn & Teller's BULLSHIT episode about PETA. Holy crap. Like, I'm sure they hammed it up a bit ("hammed", like that reference? hahah) but that whole "total animal liberation" thing is a bit much. Oh, and the "Meat Eater/Vegetarian" thing was hilarious!
Look, I'm all for the ethical treatment of anything I eat. I don't want to eat something that's had the shit kicked out of it for hours before its death (just makes it tough anyway), but saying that the blind can't use guide dogs, and no to reasonable animal testing for the cure of widespread disease is just stupid imho. When a dog stands next to me at 7-11 and orders a Slurpee, I'll revise that last statement.
The head of PETA does sound like a bit of a crackpot though. Sure, the show might have been skewed against PETA, but there were a few quotes and speeches that are hard to ignore.

If they don't want us to eat it, why do they make it sound so exciting and tasty? They make eating meat as cool and edgy as smoking or shoplifting, and it doesn't get much cooler than that. Kudos, hippies!

Wow, I don't think you can be any more of an idiot. First of all, you are trying to argue that we shouldn't be eating cheeseburgers because of the way that cows are slaughtered at one slaughterhouse. That's like saying that nobody should buy clothes or shoes anymore because a factory in China isn't treating their employees ethically. But I'm sure you know that already. Instead of fighting for the rights of humans or issues that actually make logical sense, you decide to skip that and fight for animal rights with half-ass arguments that make no logical sense. Stop trying to spark emotion in America and be rational. Maybe you think eating animals is immoral due to how they are treated and slaughtered. If that's true, than your vegan ass is implying that all your plants (which apparently have no rights) you eat are being prepared without the farmers and cultivators keeping any insects away (oh wait they are animals too?). And stop giving bullshit statements of how being a vegan is healthier. There is a reason why we have canine teeth in our mouth and an appendix. Maybe you should look up what those are for instead of going on PETA and listening to one-sided emotional arguments. Think for yourself.

Actually, the appendix was originally a way to help digest plant matter. It's longer in herbivores, but practically useless in humans.
That being said, I prefer the other PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals.
