A: A Permalink is a permanent HTML link to the story. If you want to email it to your friends, or put it in your blog, you can right-click on the "Permalink" link, select "Copy Shortcut", then paste it into an email, blog, forum, whatever you like! People can then click on that link and arrive directly at the story.
