Stick a candle in it and call it meat cake...

Nothing says "celebration" like a meat cake. And during those special times, like your kids birthdays, why not take advantage of their young, strong hearts and rejoice with a meaty treat?

Supersized Chocolate Igloo
At this years Eurochocolate Perugia, 4 Italians created what is believed to be the worlds largest chocolate igloo (and the only chocolate igloo I've ever heard of!). Weighing in at around 3.6 tonnes, it contains 360 bricks, and will melt if the temp goes above 30C.

From: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061016/od_nm/chocolate_igloo_dc;...

PERUGIA, Italy (Reuters) - Four Italians have constructed what they believe is the world's first full-sized chocolate igloo but they have yet to solve an age-old problem.

It still melts.

"It was a tough thing to do, much more difficult than building a normal snow igloo," Marco Fanti, 45, who used to race cars in desert rallies, told Reuters as he stood beside the 1.65-metre-high, dome-shaped traditional Inuit shelter made of some 330 dark chocolate bricks.

The Creme de la Creme Egg

Why Cadbury haven't started making these has got me beat. They'd make a truckload of cash if they did (or maybe they'd make less because people wouldn't buy as many to do this!) Check this one out, it's the Creme de la Creme Egg! Custom made filling, about 3 times as big, and even has a nice custom made wrapper!

From: http://www.ivorysky.com/creme-egg/index.php

Who hasn't eaten a Creme Egg and thought, 'why don't they make these full size?' Cadbury's have definitely missed a trick here, so I thought I'd see what it would be like. Total cost, £18.39. Click on the pictures for further details.

Super(down)Sized Meals! The tiny burger project

Thanks to our member Eric Wedgwood for this one! It's pretty much the opposite of supersized. This is, believe it or not, a 1 inch burger. Amazing detail considering the size!

From: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=111577.0

Lots of people forget that cooking is a craft, nay an ART, as much as any other on Craftster. My husband and I decided to do this challenge together since we are total foodies and enjoy spending time together in the kitchen.

This project was inspired by an article in Martha Stewart Living that appeared some time ago.

I give you, miniature fast-food.

J Lynn and the 10 bag skittle challenge

The guys from One More Chain sometimes feel the need to set each other challenges when fighting bushfires. One of these challenges was for J Lynn to put 10 bags of Skittles in his mouth, all at once, and eat them all within 15 minutes. The prize? $90! Those crazy guys!

Giant Pig, Katherine, NT, Australia

Decided to have a few of those Darwin Stubbies when staying in the Northern Territory? Just make sure that if you pass out, you pass out in a hotel or someone's house. This catch, while not a meal (yet), sure would have made for a huge pig-on-the-spit! (thanks Juddy for emailing this one in!)

This monster was caught 300 km south of Katherine. They only caught it bacause their pig-hunting dogs were disappearing...then found this pig was eating them! Suggestion! If you intend to visit the NT and camp out, make sure you sleep in the vehicle.....and if you have a dog, lock it in also.
