Anyone for a sandwich? How about this one. Weighing in at 6,991lbs (3,178kgs), it is officially the largest sandwich ever made, and has been recognised by the Guiness Book of World Records. I wonder if there's a toaster that big...
You'd need a big appetite and an even bigger lunch box to get through this sandwich. It took at least eight workers to manoevre the top slice of bread onto the world's biggest sarnie in Zocalo Square, Mexico City.
Bags and bags of lettuce, with huge chunks of cheese and massive hunks of ham were put into the door-stopper sarnie.
Bread Of Heaven
Big enough for the Gods, the sandwich has been registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as weighing 6,991lbs (3,178kgs).
Slice Of The Action
A few hundred people watched the record attempt and every one of them fancied a bite to eat afterwards. The sarnie was made by Mexican company Bimbo in conjunction with McCormick, Fud, Chalet and Petalo Jumbo.
