Food Battle Club - Kobayashi vs Akasaka

Oh how I love Japanese game shows... This one is particularly awesome. Back in 2001, a very young looking Takeru Kobayashi (famed Nathans Famous Hot Dog Eating Champion) is put up against "Queen"Akasaka to see who can eat the most Sushi and Gyoza. On what looks to be at least a 50 ft buffet table, this "Street Fighter" style clip has the two racing against each other to see who can get to the finish first. Giant Shirota also makes a very trendy appearance, looking somewhat amazed at Kobayashi's performance!

No $3900 meal for Kanye West

CNN reported last week that Kanye West had ordered a curry from British Raj's at a total cost of $3900 (and that didn't include the travel cost of the chef!). Turns out that Kanye wasn't in New York during that week, and his publicist denied the claim that he'd ordered the meal. The meal was ordered though and sent to New York, so someone ate well that day! Poor Kanye, no curry for you!

Ban McDonald's, says Charles

Looks like the Prince doesn't like his dose of Big Mac's. On a recent trip to the UAE, Prince Charles said, "Have you got anywhere with McDonald's? Have you tried getting it banned? That's the key." I wonder what his approach to solving the alcohol problems in the UK would be? I bet pub owners can't wait for that one! What do you think about McBashing, or junk food bashing in general? Leave your comments!

PRINCE Charles has said banning McDonald's is the "key" to improving health and fitness, while on a visit to a healthy eating program in the Middle East. While on an official tour in the United Arab Emirates, Charles inspected the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi, which was launching a public awareness campaign on nutrition. During the visit, he asked a nutritionist: "Have you got anywhere with McDonald's? Have you tried getting it banned? That's the key." McDonald's has said it is "disappointed" by the prince's comments, which it has called out of date.
