Fake Luther Burger Commercial
Contributed by: Billy
A convincing looking commercial for "The Luther Burger". One glaring omission though, the Krispy Kreme bun!!! Oh the shame, producers, the shame... Probably a school project anyway...

Ellen's Giant Pizza Eating Contest
Contributed by: Billy
[via EatFeats] What would you do for free tickets to an Ellen show in Chicago? In this clip, two of her guests battle it out to find a "Golden Ticket" buried somewhere in a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Not with their hands though, this is a hands free "bobbing for apples" kind of comp! First to find it gets the trip. The siren blows, hilarity ensues!

13 Girls vs Giant Shirota in Cake Eating Contest
Contributed by: Billy
Nobyuki “the Giant” Shirota was put up against 13 Japanese women in a Strawberry Shortcake eating contest. Both the team of women and Shirota had 10 minutes to eat as many slices of the 75g cakes as possible. With 6 minutes gone, Shirota still hadn't started eating, and the girls had finished over 30 pieces of cake. Would King Shirota be able to catch up in time?

World's Largest Slab of Fudge
Contributed by: Billy
I love fudge, but I think I'd be well sick of it if I had to eat all this. It's the World's Largest Slab of Fudge. Weighing in at over 5,000lb's, (despite the photo below) this is one sugar high you'd never come down from!
From: http://www.northwestfudgefactory.com/toppage3.htm
The world’s largest slab of fudge weighed 2.29 tonnes (5,050 lb) and was made by Chantelle Gorham of Northwest Fudge Factory (Canada) at the New Sudbury Shopping Center, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada on May 24, 2007.

Man dies in cake-eating contest
Contributed by: Billy
Now folks, we're all for safety when it comes to Supersized Meals... Know your limits, know when to give up. I feel sorry for the guy though. Of all the things to die eating, couldn't it have been wild boar, or something equally as manly? But fairy cakes? Oh dear... All jokes aside, our thoughts go out to the family...
From: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales/7261888.stm
An inquest is to be held on a man who died during a contest to see who could eat the most fairy cakes. The man, thought to be from Birmingham, collapsed at a Swansea nightclub during the event at the end of a party to raise funds for an art exhibition.

Bill to Ban Serving Obese Restaurant Patrons
Contributed by: Billy
Thanks Anon, I lol'd! Lawmakers in the Mississippi state legislature have introduced a bill that would prohibit serving food to people deemed to be obese. I couldn't imagine Sizzler or TGI Fridays lasting for too long if this bill was passed! Hahahaha
From: http://news.aol.com/health/story/_a/bill-to-ban-serving-obese-sparks-furor/20080206091709990001
(Feb. 6) - Nutrition experts are burning up calories in expressing their outrage over proposed legislation in Mississippi that would prohibit restaurants from serving obese customers. They say the proposed bill, still in committee, is "ridiculous," "insane" and a wrong-headed approach to solving the national obesity epidemic. State Rep. John Read, a Republican who is one of the bill's three authors, says he wasn't trying to offend anybody and never even expected the plan to become law. "I was trying to shed a little light on the No. 1 problem in Mississippi," he says. The state has the highest obesity rate in the USA.

Cheeseburger in a Can?
Contributed by: aaron
[via: Gizmodo] This is a cheeseburger. In a can. It's a cheeseburger in a can. I honestly can't figure out how I feel about this: is it the greatest achievement of mankind thus far, or is it an abomination of foodstuffs that deserves to be hucked back into the gaping maw of whatever food processing plant it was spewed from? I just don't know what to think anymore. Would you eat a cheeseburger in a can? Keep in mind that it'll look nowhere near as delicious as the example above when you pull it out of the can.
You can actually buy these online?!?! Anyone in Germany care to try one? You can get them here:
