Booster Juice makes the World's Largest Smoothie
Contributed by: Billy
Booster Juice recently set the world record for the largest smoothie ever created. It was a 195 gallon smoothie in a giant cup. I especially like the plumbers pipe they used as a straw (complete with plumber writing on the side, haha)
KITCHENER, ONTARIO - After 7 blenders, 3.5 hours of blending and over 195 gallons of smoothie, a Booster Juice store in Kitchener, Canada broke the current record for the World's Largest Smoothie. To break this record Booster Juice had to surpass the previous record of 333 litres or 88 gallons of delicious smoothie. City firefighters were on site to help in the attempt to enter the Guinness World Records by making the world's largest smoothie. Best of all, Booster Juice raised $1,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society by selling the world's largest smoothie in 24 oz cups after the record breaking event.
I love good sushi. Fresh, clean, tasty, and surprisingly filling. And if you like your sushi in vast quantities, then this challenge is definately for you. The Challenge: to eat more sushi than the last record holder in 20 minutes or less. Beat the previous record, get your sushi for free. Lose, and you have to pay for the sushi you've eaten. A pretty safe bet for the restaurant owner, don't you think? Check out the awesome video of one guy attempting the challenge, and a few pics too!

80lb Burger, Millet, Alberta
Contributed by: Billy
This burger looks huge! It's an 80lb burger from somewhere in Millet, Alberta. If anyone has any more info we'd love to hear about it!
This burger joint will challenge anyone to eat it's monster 80lb burger! Millet, Alberta. This particular burger was challenged by an eight man hockey team who failed miserably. Nov 2005
A Raclette is both a type of cheese and a fondue-like dish featuring the cheese.
And in the Méribel-Mottaret region of France, one of the ski resorts has a cheese eating challenge like no other. The Challenge: eat half a round of cheese between four people. The cheese is usually fashioned into a round of about 6 kg (13 lb), so that's still a lot of cheese... Details are sketchy, and I've only found 1 photo of the actual cheese, but regardless, that's a lotta cheese you'd have to eat!
The Raclette challenge: eat half a round of cheese between four people. Raclette is melted on a grill bar and eaten with potatoes, cold meats and pickles. It's important not to fill up to much on these or you'll never finish all the cheese.
Here's a greasy challenge to get your new year underway... this deep fried challenge consists of the "Ashvale Whale", a 1lb deep fried piece of cod, chips, and peas. The Challenge: Eat the 1lb Ashvale Whale, and you get a second one on the house! (!?!?!) Or you can get a free sweet...
A 1lb Cod Fillet. Finish this by yourself and eat a second whale on the house! Or, claim a free sweet of your choice.
Getting a "4-scoop" from an Ice Cream Parlor is usually pretty hard core.... But that's nothing compared to Cabots Ice Cream's, "The Great Pyramid". From what I could see, this thing has at least 90 scoops on the outside
layer. Going by how thick this is, I'm sure you'd get a pretty huge Ice Cream headache if you attempted it yourself. Serving "up to 175 serves", could this be the world's largest commercially available party Ice Cream?
Looking for some great fun at your next party or office function? How about throwing a Cabot's Ice Cream Party or Ice Cream Social. We can supply you with everything from "Scoops to Nuts"! The Great Pyramid - Sixty Pints of Ice Cream, Twelve Quarts of Topping, Marshmallow, Nuts, and Cherries.
University Chicken has a few locations in the Santa Clara area, and they've also got their own eating challenge. The 911 Hotwings Challenge:
Eat 12 of their hottest 911 Hotwings in 10 minutes or less. Beat the challenge and you'll get a free shirt and your picture up on their wall of fame. Many have tried, only a few have succeeded!
On Friday, Alex James, from my group at work, took on a challenge that no one thought he could handle. Near Santa Clara University, a small restaurant that specializes in hot & spicy chicken wings hosts a food eating contest that only involves twelve wings (wingettes and drumettes counted as two separate wings). The 911 Challenge at University Chicken doesn't sound so bad, but Alex definitely met his match... and prevailed.
They say a picture says a thousand words. I can think of no picture that holds truer.... This is round 2 for the Wingnuts Hot Wings Challenge (click for previous story)
. Only one picture in this story, but imho that's all you need...
The response from the first challenge was so overwhelming positive that a second challenge was posted for the following Wednesday but with a bigger pot which now stood at the cost of the wings + $100. Now with a better idea of what to expect, people started posting suggestions to would be competitors to help them gain that edge they needed. From eating hot wax a la Homer Simpson to drinking Pepto-Bismol to peeling the meat off all the wings, then eating them - we had it all.
Gal Sone and her 40,000 Calorie Meal
Contributed by: Billy
Gal Sone would have to be one of the most amazing female eaters I have ever seen. The amount she puts away is truly amazing. Sure, Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas knows how to destroy her meals quickly, but it's slow and steady for Gal Sone, which equals mucho entertainment for all! In this vid, she manages to consume 40,000 calories in (I think) one day. If you speak/understand Japanese, could you give us a brief run down what they're talking about in the comments? [Edit:
A great summary of each dish available in the comments
