Fatal Restaurant, Budapest
Contributed by: Billy
They sure know how to do their schnitzel's overseas! Fatal Restaurant, despite the name, makes a killing on selling these huge schnitzels. Apparently they're made from 4 "normal" sized ones. They also make a bunch of other massive meals as well.

While 500g (21oz.) is still a respectable size for a large sandwich, it's the price tag that tips this one over the scales. This is said to be the worlds most expensive sandwich. Priced at 85 pounds (~ US$150), this sandwich has nothing but the finest (and most expensive) ingredients available

Hungry shoppers are being offered the chance to eat a gourmet sandwich, but the £85 price tag might be too much for some to swallow. The McDonald sandwich - named after its creator Scott McDonald, the chef at London department store Selfridges - is said to be the world's most expensive. Its cost is down to the Wagyu beef that makes up most of the filling, packed in a 24-hour fermented sour dough bread.

PITTSBURGH -- A pizzeria is vying for a spot in Guinness World Records for the world's largest commercially available pizza. The $99, 150-slice pizza isn't a one-time deal. In fact, The Big One is already available, though Mama Lena's Pizza House has had few takers so far.

World's Biggest Sandwich
Contributed by: Billy
Anyone for a sandwich? How about this one. Weighing in at 6,991lbs (3,178kgs), it is officially the largest sandwich ever made, and has been recognised by the Guiness Book of World Records. I wonder if there's a toaster that big...

Hungry?
You'd need a big appetite and an even bigger lunch box to get through this sandwich. It took at least eight workers to manoevre the top slice of bread onto the world's biggest sarnie in Zocalo Square, Mexico City.

Minor League Baseball now offers Luther Burgers
Contributed by: Billy
Alex posted this in the comments section today. Looks like Minor League Baseball team "The Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League" are going to offer Luther Burgers at their games!
From: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2362369&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines
Homer Simpson would love the newest taste sensation in minor league baseball: the donut burger.
We kid you not. The Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League promised to create "Baseball's Best Burger" in time for the team's opener in late May. And they appear to have succeeded. The ballpark sandwich will include a hamburger topped with sharp cheddar cheese and two slices of bacon -- all between a "bun" made of a sliced Krispy Kreme Original Glazed donut.

Super Sized Meals Take Determination

Someone in Visa's advertising team must be a fellow super sized meal lover. Check out the burger in their "Life Takes Determination" ad. I wonder if the stunt belly who finished that thing off is a contributor here? (Requires Flash. Click on the "Determination Burger" link.)

Eric "Badlands" Booker on G4 TV takes on the 100x100
Contributed by: Anonymous
This came in today from an anonymous reader (I suspect one of the lads from G4 TV! Hi guys!) One of the Kings of competitive eating, Eric "Badlands" Booker racing Brendan Hermies, "The Attack of the Show" Co-ordinator. The Challenge? The famous "100x100" from In-n-out. Well, actually, this is the 100x200! Each beef pattie is separated by 2 slices of cheese! Mmm... sweaty cheese... Anyway, here's what got posted...
World-renowned competitive eater, Eric Badlands Booker stopped by G4 with a demonstration of his eating prowess - taking down as many hamburgers as he can from a 100 X 100 (100 burgers and 100 slices of chees) in 30 seconds.
From: http://www.g4tv.com/videos/index.html?video_key=10588 (Click here for the video)
Eric holds some pretty impressive eating records:
- 15 Burritos in 8 Minutes
- 2 lbs. of Chocolate Candy Bars in 6 Minutes
- 49 Glazed Donuts in 8 Minutes
- 4 lbs. of Corned Beef Hash in 1 Minute 58 Seconds
What these numbers don't show is Badlands's awesome personality. He's genuinely one of the nicest guys in a sport that has some interesting personalities. Badlands is known as The People's Champ and holds records in some of the sport's biggest events.

The Whopperette's 29 pattie Whopper
Contributed by: Billy
Burger King's been pushing the "Have it your way" motto for a while now, but I've only just managed to stumble onto this site. http://www.whopperettes.com, a BK marketing site where you can design your own whopper, and watch the pretty girls throw themselves onto your fantasy burger. It's a bit disturbing if you ask me, can't say I think a girl wearing a beef skirt does it for me.... (don't go there.. please....)
So anyway, I couldn't resist, here's what BK thinks a 29 pattie Whopper should look like.... (it was that big, it even had the top chopped off it!) Does this mean they're actively encouraging the creation of these massive burgers? w00t!

Hardee's Thickburger - Awesome!
Contributed by: Billy
This has been around for a while now, I was wondering whether it still exists? Sounds like a heartstopper! From: http://money.cnn.com/2004/11/15/news/funny/hardees/
NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Fans of Hardee's new "Monster Thickburger" may end up making "Big Mac" lovers look like waif-like supermodels.
