The World's Biggest Sandwich

The previous record from our friends in Mexico has been beaten! A school in India has broken the record for the World's Largest Sandwich! Weighing in at 4035kg (8,895 lb's) this sandwich measured 42-foot long and 9-foot wide, and cost Rs 1.45 lakh, around US$2900 (thanks earbox!) Gurmeet said, “A huge bread of 120 loves was arranged with the help of a local bakery. Each piece of it weighed nearly 20 kg. Also, 1,400 kg vegetables, including capsicum, carrot, and boiled potato along with 20 kg of fresh cream, were used in it.” HUGE!!

Meat Limo

Recently, I was inspired by the "meat ship", and I wanted to make something representative of the industry that I am in, constructed out of meat. I posted a comment that I should try to make a meat limo. Me and another guy that I work with decided to go ahead and give it a try. When the little pieces of bacon finally stopped flying through the air, we actually ended up with three extravagant "meat limos".

The Porkgasm

Once every now and then on this funny round planet of ours, a culinary masterpiece is created. This, my friends, is one of those times. Behold, The Porkgasm! This 15lb Meatpig contains bacon, ham, more bacon, more ham, some pork belly, smoked sausages, a couple of peppers for ears and some garlic cloves for eyes. This is the real deal for pork enthusiasts everywhere. It's all meat, no filler. Start breathing heavy everyone, you're about to have a Porkgasm!

From: http://www.porktopia.com/2009/03/porkgasm.html

Since I'm a thinking man, it's only natural that America's public obsession with bacon would get my mind working - working on developing some sort of monstrous dish suitable not only for display on glutton blogs, but for true gustatory pleasure. Needess to say, I have very little time for inedible novelties or anachronistic horrors.

Happy Pancake Day - Fool’s Gold Stack

We've all heard of the Fool's Gold Loaf (one of Elvis' favorite late night snacks), but have you heard of the Fool's Gold Pancake? Billy over at A Table for Two last month did exactly that! He took a bunch of pancakes, then added peanut butter, bacon, repeat. The resulting snack is one mighty fine tower of tastiness! And all advertising proceeds for February went to Uniting Care, a local charity (maybe March referrers from SupersizedMeals could to? ;))

From: http://atablefortwo.shisso.org/?p=1936

I just woke up, switched on the TV and there she is, Fifi Box is already helping out at the UnitingCare tent, selling pancakes and eating them. It is Pancake Day! Here I have lay out and took a quick snap of all the ingredients that I will be using to make my pancakes today - flour, butter, lemon, eggs, maple syrup, peanut butter and bacon! Oh yeahhh… pancakes with peanut butter and bacon… I think I need to remind myself how good this is going to taste like the sister version I’ve had recently at Parkes.

The Giant Pizza Burger

This idea for a burger came to me in a dream, so when I woke up the next morning me and my housemate had to make it a reality. Some say its a monstrosity of heart failing proportions, some say its a thing of unimaginable beauty and culinary genius, I just say it's delicious. If anyone has done this before I'd like to see some pictures.
