French man cooks up 550kg Camel
Contributed by: Billy
They might be the water trucks of the desert, but apparently they carry a fair bit of meat too! French Chef Christian Falco, who is notorious for cooking up Supersized Meals, cooked the beast for 15 hours at a seaside Moroccan town south of Rabat. Feeding 500 diners has never been so interesting! (Thanks for the link David!)

SAFI, Morocco - A French cook has prepared the world's largest mechoui grill -- spit-roasting a 550-kg camel for 15 hours at a seaside Moroccan town south of Rabat. "It's a tradition that's fallen out of favour," said 63-year-old Christian Falco from the south-western French city of Perpignan, describing a time two centuries ago when a Moroccan king offered a roast camel to his people.

Got an appetite for a dozen eggs for breakfast? Beth's Cafe is for you! Their speciality is the 12 Egg Omelette, legendary even! And if that's not enough, it comes with All You Can Eat Hash Browns! They've been around for 50 years, so they must be doing something right!
From: http://www.bethscafe.com/menu.htm
Our Omelettes are legendary. They come in two sizes, 6 or 12 eggs. All omelettes come with “all you can eat” hashbrowns and your choice of toast (White, Wheat, Rye, Sourdough, English Muffin, Biscuit, or one slice of double thick Egg Bread). Due to the large size of our meals, and our “all you can eat” hashbrowns, a $1.00 per extra plate charge will be added, for people who wish to share.

The Bacon Apple Pie Recipe
Contributed by: Billy
Remember the Bacon Apple Pie we posted last month? Well the inventor of this culinary masterpiece found us and let us post the recipe on the site! Behold! The Bacon Apple Pie Recipe in all its glory! If you do manage to make one yourself, take some pics and send them in, we'd love to hear about it!
From: http://eclecticgecko.com/blog/?p=5
My love affair with bacon is well-documented in my artwork. Living la vida loca of the Starving Art Student leads one to seek ever cheaper substitutes for proper nutrition. The local Cash & Carry willingly obliges by selling 15-lb flats of bacon for $0.87 a pound, making it the cheapest meat available in the region. Despite much eye-rolling and finger-shaking by my peers that I’d suffer eighty-seven heart attacks in a year with all the bacon I eat, I’ve actually lost ten pounds and my cholesterol is so depressingly normal that it’s too boring to write about. Meanwhile, my neighbors have dubbed my dwelling-place The House That Bacon Built.
