Here's something you don't see at your average wedding. It's a Meatcake! Not only did they go a bit different with cupcakes instead of the traditional Fruit cake, they also had a Meatcake on display! Wedding bliss, with meatcake!

Yes, I said Corn Flakes! Crazy huh? As a filler, instead of using Hamburger Helper or breadcrumbs, pygmalion decided that Corn Flakes would be the filler of choice. As well as that, he used an extremely runny tomato sauce to stick it all together. A saucy, corn-flakey meatcake like you've never seen before!

This meatcake was meant to be the vanguard. The idea of baking a cake made entirely of ground beef and frosted with mashed potatoes was much hyped on several websites, including this one. Boasts were made, trash was talked and gloves were thrown down on the ice. At the time, I feared being regulated to the backseat when the actually bake-off occurred, so I secretly procured all the ingredients and made one my own.

Casey had a date with V tonight, Valentine's Day. She doesn't like vegetables, and can't eat flour, so I made them a meatcake for dinner. Sadly, I didn't get a picture of it sliced, as I didn't send my camera along with Casey, but he said it looked like a very nice layer cake. The layers were, of course, meatloaf. It was iced with mashed potatoes, topped with a heart of ketchup.

An interesting shaped meatcake this one. I suspect it's an upside-down bowl meatcake, but never-the-less, it is a meatcake! Uniquely decorated with tomato, onion and green peppers, it's Mimi's Meatcake!
