It all started a few months before when people kept on asking me what I was going to be for Halloween. Not having anything to say I simply said "I'm going to be a slice of cheese." Heard of the Fools Gold Loaf? The story goes that the actual sandwich was a loaf of bread, an entire jar of peanut butter, and entire jar of grape jelly, and a pound of bacon. This is apparently a bit of a trend now in Korea. Hot Dogs wrapped in everything, then deep fried! You might remember we talked about French Fry Encrusted Corn Dogs in Korea a while ago, well now they do Hot Dogs wrapped in Bacon, Seaweed, Mashed Potato, Corn Batter, whatever will fit around the Hot Dog!

And you thought America was bad when it comes to unhealthy junk food. Well in South Korea they have the french fry covered hot dog! It’s a hot dog covered with chunks of French fries then coated with batter and deep fried. French fries aren’t the only thing that coat hot dogs in Korea. Kiosk vendors wrap them in bacon, mashed potato, corn batter or what looked to be seaweed then invariably deep fry them. And God only knows what kind of oils they’re deep fried in.
