Huge Japanese Burgers

I've been finding more and more "Once Off" photos around the net of random supersized meals, so I thought I'd dedicate a photo album to them! There's now a photo album called Once Off Photos, where all the lonely photos go :) Found this over on japanprobe the other day, some sort of mega Katsu burger! Oh, and if anyone knows where this burger originated from, please let us know by leaving a comment!

From: http://www.japanprobe.com/?p=50

Here we have the giant burger compared to an average burger. A true fatso of a burger. This ungodly creation seems to contain an egg, some lettuce, a couple burgers, some big katsu-looing thing, and some sauce. And all for the low cost of about 7 US dollars. Too bad I missed the part where they said what store sells them. If you know where you can find this massive burger, let me know.

Hardee's Philly Cheesesteak Thickburger - Meat as a condiment?

Hardee's has released another thickburger, this time they're using Philly Cheesesteak as a condiment! Yes, condiment. Meat as a condiment... mmmm... would you like a Meatshake to go with that? ;)

Using meat, such as bacon, as a burger topping is not a new idea, but Hardee's has taken the concept to its extreme today with the launch of the new Philly Cheesesteak Thickburger(TM). It's meat-on-meat as Hardee's new burger features a 1/3-lb. Angus beef Thickburger patty piled high with thinly sliced steak, two kinds of cheese and green peppers and onions. The result is a truly delicious and authentic tribute to the classic Philly Cheesesteak -- as only Hardee's can make it.

The 27lb cheesecake

The cheesecake was the brainchild of a man who calls himself Mr Cod-Liver Oil (pictured here), and was constructed as a suprise birthday present for a friend. There are 35 pots of creme cheese in it: unfortunately some of these had to be of the low fat variety, since our local supermarket didn't have enough of the normal full fat type in stock.

4289 foot burrito, world record!

Eaton sent this in a few days ago. You may remember a few posts ago, the 1997 successful world record attempt at the worlds largest burrito. But that was then, and that record has been broken! May 8th. 1999 was the date that the official "worlds largest burrito" was made! Ole!

From: http://www.cincodemayo.net/burrito/eng/

When was the last time you enjoyed a great lunch wich made history, had music and good fun under the sun, plus gave to charity? It probably has not been anytime soon. Well, here is your chance to do just that. Casa Chapala Mexican Restaurant has come up with the idea to make the World's Largest Burrito with the help of other local businesses and sponsors, right here in our own Columbia Park.
