World's most expensive M&M

[via SlashFood] Who would have thought such a tiny, crunchy chocolate treat could cost so much? A single, brown M&M recently sold for $1500. Why? Because it went into space. It was part of Paul Allen's SpaceShipOne, which apparently made it more valuable.... Would it taste any better? Who knows... crazy!

From: http://www.bookofjoe.com/2007/02/worlds_most_exp.html

It's a brown one (they're no longer made, but no matter) that left the Earth's atmosphere on June 21, 2004 aboard the first flight of Paul Allen's SpaceShipOne. It recently sold for $1,500. "Melts in your mouth, not on re-entry," would be a good tag line, what? I learned this bit of M&M arcana, along with many other interesting facts, by reading Dionne Searcey's article in today's Wall Street Journal about how going into space — especially to the moon — can multiply the value of ordinary objects many, many times over.

1 minute lunch buffet?

Only 1 minute? That sounds like a challenge! I suspect this is a sign from Pizza Hut (based on its flickr pools) but not sure. If you know where it's from, drop a comment! I wonder what the world record is for most pizza consumed in one minute... hmm...

28" Pizza, Captain's Pizza & Sub Restaurant, Ocean City, MD
Here's a tasty takeaway from Ocean City. It's a 28" pizza called, surprisingly enough, "The Giant Pizza". Yeah, it's pretty giant...

From: http://flickr.com/photos/wonder_lynx/172587638/

from captain's in ocean city- liz's brother requested "the giant pizza". you can't really grasp how huge it is from a photo. to give an idea, the empty box next to it is the size of a normal pizza box. vacation food is so bad but so good- you're full after one slice.

The Gigantic "Boomer" Burrito, La Bamba's Mexican Grill, Ventura, CA
Thanks to Zach from BlackMarketKittens.com for sending these pics in! Zach and his buddy went to tackle "The Boomer", a gigantic burrito that lives at La Bamba's Mexican Grill, Ventura, CA. This is a hefty sized burrito, and for $9.99, pretty good value too!

We both finished it pretty quickly - I'd say that it was less than 15 minutes altogether, though we did sit and veg for awhile afterwards. Funny thing is that we were so into the burrito that we didn't really take too many pics - I got a couple of him and a couple of the burrito, but that's it.
