Nugtron 5050
Contributed by: Billy
Thanks to the anonymous poster who wrote this in our comments. JizoshVFS made this video of the Nugtron 5050 challenge. The challenge? To down 1 nugget every minute for 50 minutes. Made to look like a movie trailer, this vid is pretty funny
From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGAdDilOf78
Nugtron 5050 is a battle of stomach endurance; a test of sheer willpower and mental toughness.
An eating competition that pits Man against McNugget, contestants will attempt to devour 50 Chicken McNuggets, one every minute on a timer, until only one champion remains. Do you have what it takes to meet the Nugtron 5050 Challange?
USB Cooking
Contributed by: Billy
Quite the opposite of a huge meal, this huge PC mod takes 30 USB ports, hooks them up to a hotplate, and allows the owner to cook some beef for his steamed rice! I'm not sure whether it'd be enough to cook a Megaburger though...

30 USB connections can produce something around 500W, enough power to cook ;-)

smoothdude took these pics of his Ocho, 2 x Burger King Quad Stackers stuck together. He even added the stats on just how many calories are in this mammoth.... 2460!

My friend Scott is not on flickr but had showed me these photos he had taken of two Burger King Stackers that he brought home and formed what he called, "The Ocho" which made me feel a wee bit peckish when I saw the picture.

Hootie's Tender Crisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch Commercial
Contributed by: Billy
Hootie from (I think) Hootie and the Blowfish did this ad for Burger King. Burgers growing from trees, streams of ranch dressing, tumbleweeds of bacon, and Cheddar that lines the streets... And that giant burger! ahh.... what a wonderful world it would be!

A new challenge in Santa Clara, CA! This one is the "Belly Buster Challenge". One person has one hour to consume a 20" pizza. It's a hefty looking pizza too! On Saturday, December 2nd at 7:00 PM three friends, Adam, Bear and Cooper decided to give it a shot. They even did up a video of the entire event, showing the pizza being made, and the challenge itself!
From: http://www.bearsilber.com/2006/12/03/belly-buster-challenge-2/
The Pizza and Pipes Belly Buster challenge was a success. A few men set out to make history, two became boys while one became a legend. What exactly is the Belly Buster challenge you ask. Simple, it’s a 20” pizza that must be consumed in one hour or less by one individual. To date many have tried but none have been victorious. The Hall of Shame is filled with Polaroids of individuals who’ve attempted to conquer the Belly Buster while the Hall of Fame lay bare.

Mega Munch, The McNugget McMaster

26 nuggets not enough? How about 50? Still not enough? How about 80 in less than 30 minutes? Inspired by our earlier stories on the Chicken Nugget Challenges, Dave "Megamunch" Schoffner decided it was time to obliterate the current record and down 80 nuggets in one sitting. Not only that, he did it in less than 30 minutes! Considering this effort was 370% of the recommended daily intake of sodium, it's no surprise he woke up at 4:30am with an unquenchable thirst!
From: http://megamunch.blogspot.com/2006/11/why-do-i-do-this-to-myself-seriously.html
A few days ago, SuperSizedMeals.com posted something about a man who failed to reach his goal of eating 27.5 Wendy's nuggets in one sitting (he would eat 26 before calling it quits). It was all the inspiration I needed. At 5:35 pm this evening, I walked into the McDonalds on Front Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and ordered 80 chicken McNuggets. My heart and stomach swelled with pride when the cashier screamed to the crew in the back, "Y'all better drop some more nuggets! Like a lot!"

Thanks to one of our anonymous readers for this one! The premise was simple - eat 120 of Wingnuts Hottest wings in under an hr and you'd walk away with free wings and cash.
Hilarity ensued.
From: http://www.wingschallenge.com/?p=3
September 21st, 2006 - It all started with a vision and a single post on NSMB.com’s forums. The rules were simple. Eat 120 of Wingnuts’ hottest wings in under an hour with no drinks and you’d walk away with the cost of the wings ($59.99+tax), $50 and bragging rights for the foreseeable future…

Sneak-King a Supersized Meal?
Contributed by: Billy
Ok this commercial from Burger King just freaked the crap out of me. Seriously, if I saw that Burger King dude come up behind me and flip out a burger from his pants, I'm not too sure whether eating it would be the first thing that comes to mind... pretty damn funny trailer for a game though..

UEPa takes on Denny's Beer Barrel Pub
Contributed by: Billy
Dave Shoffner from Megamunch is always on the lookout for an eating challenge. This time, Dave and the members of the UEPa (The United Eaters of Pennsylvania) took on the Denny's Beer Barrel Pub's massive burger menu. A few tried the 6 pounder, while Dave gave the 3 pounder a shot. A worthy adversary those burgers, with only a select few able to finish. He's also taken some great photos of the pub, and the walls of fame. Here's their story!
From: http://megamunch.blogspot.com/2006/11/uepa-takes-on-dennys-beer-barrel-pub.html
I suck. Let me just get that out of the way right now. If I’m ever in a competitive eating contest with you and I start talking trash, just say, “Hey Dave, how’d you do against that three-pound burger at Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub?” That’ll shut me right up.
